A “Pride & Progress” ribbon cutting ceremony was held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Catholic Charities of Central and Northern Missouri, which is located at 2201 W. Main Street in Jefferson City. Catholic Charities assists in the most basic and immediate needs of the poor and vulnerable while giving them the help and resources needed for long-term change regardless of faith, culture or situation. As the social services outreach arm of the Diocese of Jefferson City. This year, Catholic Charities plans to expand their efforts through the "Open Hearts, Open Doors: A New Home for Catholic Charities" renovation. Plans include a client-choice food pantry, universal health exam rooms, classroom space, community garden, and the inclusion of Catholic Charities current services.
